Amalgam Studio is a multidisciplinary practice that amalgamates
the fields of design, business and technology. We distinguish ourselves
as original content developers and interactive designers. We believe
that any business or individual can improve communication and relationships
with clients. Amalgam Studio translates raw concepts into unique
and effective communication. Our process is design; our process
is interactive; our process is strategic; every project is an opportunity
to translate ideas and services to specific and often diverse audiences.
Our Name
Amalgam is defined by American Heritage® Dictionary
as "A combination of diverse elements; a mixture: an
amalgam of strength, reputation, and commitment to ethical principles." We
are a firm of varied backgrounds. Our partners have come from the
fields of architecture, business and computer science. The passion
for excellence and quality is the common bond that allows our firm
to place itself at the intersection of technology, business and design.
Our Logo
A logo is more than just a projected image of your
company or brand. It serves as an opportunity to express ideas and
values respected within the organization. It should be strong enough
to stand on its own as a visual cue to its audience of ideals which
brought it to fruition. In our case, our logo is a visual derivative
of our name. It is a mixture of elements, specifically a torus. This
geometric shape was chosen for its inherent physical strength as
well as its interconnectivity. The combination of tori is extrapolated
as a shell, at once providing a space for ideas to incubate within
while providing opportunities for outside variables to filter through.
This balanced state is made possible through the strength of the
cohesive bond of different elements; much the same way we
as a firm come together to formulate a strategy to improve your business.
