WELCOME TO AMALGAM STUDIO
We are an innovative boutique publisher, specializing in electronic and paper formats. We love words no matter their medium, whether that is on a screen or a piece of paper. Our studio works with authors at every stage of the publishing process, from editing a rough draft manuscript to providing ePub design and deployment to bookstores.
Our Focus
Many traditional publishers have been hesitant about embracing eBooks and digital delivery. Amalgam Studio focuses on eBooks from the very beginning, as we believe the electronic book will become the medium of choice in the future. We also produce physical books, either hardcover or paperback depending on the market. Digital publishing accounts for only 10% of all books sold, so traditional print books must not be ignored.
Our Advantage
Most authors who are published by Amalgam Studio are authors who don’t accept the status quo and seek a better profit sharing agreement than is possible with traditional publishers. As authors ourselves, we find it hard to swallow that a publisher can take the vast majority of a book sale after years of work on the author’s part. Amalgam Studio uses a new business model for publishing that lets authors keep what is rightfully theirs; the fruits of their hard work. Our People
Amalgam is defined by American Heritage® Dictionary as "A combination of diverse elements; a mixture: an amalgam of strength, reputation, and commitment to ethical principles." We are a firm of varied backgrounds. Our partners have come from the fields of architecture, business and computer science. Every project is an opportunity to translate ideas and services to specific and often diverse audiences.
